National Association of Nigerian Communities, United Kingdom (NANC-UK)
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the National Association of Nigerian Communities (NANC-UK), a vibrant and dynamic organisation dedicated to uniting Nigerians across the United Kingdom.
Since its inception in the 1970s, NANC has evolved from a students’ union into a fully established welfare organisation. What began as a gathering of passionate Nigerian students seeking connection and support has grown into a powerful platform that champions the welfare, integration, and cultural pride of Nigerians living in the UK. In July 2004, the organisation officially adopted the name National Association of Nigerian Communities (NANC) to reflect its modern vision and operating philosophy as a voluntary and community-focused body.
Over the decades, NANC has experienced both challenges and triumphs, but through it all, our resilience and unity have remained unshaken. The association continues to stand as a beacon of connection, empowerment, and cultural exchange, celebrating our rich Nigerian heritage while fostering the social, educational, and economic advancement of our members and the wider African community.
As we look to the future, our commitment is to continue strengthening the bonds that tie our communities together, ensuring that every Nigerian in the UK feels a sense of belonging, purpose, and support. We will keep building bridges between generations, empowering our youth, and collaborating with other communities to make a positive impact in our host society.
I encourage every member to actively participate, share ideas, and contribute to the ongoing growth of NANC. Together, we will continue to make this association not only a home away from home but also a voice that represents the aspirations and achievements of Nigerians across the UK.
Thank you for your continued dedication and belief in our shared mission.
Tolase Jaiyeoba (Mr T)
President – National Association of Nigerian Communities, United Kingdom (NANC-UK)
